March 2019

Updated: Jan 19, 2021

March flew by so fast that I didn't even realize that I didn't write a blog for March until almost the end of April. We started out the month with snowboarding, taxes, and school! And ended the month with a wedding in Alabama, dirt bikes, and school! We see the light at the end of the tunnel for schooling and am very excited for the next chapter of our lives!

Spring break was in the middle of the month for us and this time we decided to take it easy. Last spring break we went to Peru and and it was a blast, but this time we decided to take a breather, because for the next year and a half we will be buckled down with pilot training in the Air Force.

For spring break we went to Jen's hometown (which actually got snow!), then to the beach to meet up with some friends from our school. It was nothing spectacular, but it was very relaxing and that is what we were looking for.

Later on in the month, we ran a full marathon at 6,000 ft elevation in Flagstaff, AZ and Jen crushed it! We won't talk about how I did, but did I mention Jen did great! She can now check that off her bucket list and I just had to underline it on mine:)

We took some graduation photos this month so we can send out some invitations for our commencement and commission. Then later on we checked something else off of our bucket list and tried our vendor skills at a craft fair in Sedona, AZ. Overall, we were able to make some profit which we were happy with, even though mostly everyone there was well experienced in age (which we were not expecting). Lastly, we were able to travel to Alabama to be a part of my high school friend's wedding. We traveled across the country in a weekend and it was well worth it!

Love getting to check in with you guys! I can't wait to see you again and I am so excited for you to graduate! I miss our adventures in the Southwest (remember Brandon's little pot?? :)). As soon as you get your new place, keep your eye on the horizon, a.k.a. the mail truck, for a package full of love from the Pinos family :)
